Fabio Sosa returns to the States
As the Director of Advance and Mission of the Heartland Regional Synod, in collaboration with the International Classis of Texas, both bodies part of the Reformed Church in America (RCA), I feel deeply moved as I reflect on the experience we have shared during our time here in Argentina and Chile.
Together, we have immersed ourselves in the vibrant communities of leaders in the city of Santiago, Chile, and then crossed over to Argentina, from the majesty of Mendoza to the warmth of BahÃa Blanca and ending in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires. Our mission was to empower and equip leadership in the southern cone with resources, mentorship, and theological training programs that strengthen pastoral leadership in this region.
The work of our International Classis of Texas has been an invaluable blessing, allowing our brothers and sisters in Chile and Argentina to embark on a journey of growth and connection with our denomination.
Now, as we return home, I am inspired by the task that still awaits us in the United States. As the Director of Mission and Advance of the Heartland Regional Synod, my commitment is to expand our horizons within the Heartland Regional Synod and nurture the growth of new leaders who join our Classis every day.
I am filled with gratitude for the constant support we have received from our social networks, friends, and colleagues, who have shared our experiences and offered their unwavering support. In my position as a leader, I continue to explore new territories, opening doors to other countries and continents where we can extend ourselves.
In summary, our time in South America leaves an indelible mark of collaboration, empowerment, and commitment to the mission of strengthening local leadership in these lands. Temporarily, I bid farewell to Argentina and Chile, but I carry with me the promise of a soon return, to continue our transformative journey alongside each leader, in their personal journey of growth.
Thank you all for being part of this unforgettable journey, for moving forward together on this path of growth, expansion, and personal development. Our path is filled with light and hope, and we walk it together! Because in the end, those who make a difference are the leaders who prepare and equip themselves to make an impact in their churches and communities.
