Rev. Dale Assink

Executive Strategist

Dale has been an RCA ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament for 40 years. He is committed to family and cultivating healthy leaders and churches. Dale has pastored local RCA churches for 19 years and for the last 23 years has worked for the Regional Synod of the Heartland as a coach, consultant, and a visionary leader with a focus on church multiplication.

Dale now assumes the executive responsibilities of our region. His focus will be on empowering classis leaders to implement a Heartland vision for multiplication and emotional health.

Our regional synod is experiencing a tsunami of growth both here in the states as well as in other countries. The Heartland synod is now global with growth coming in South America.
Dale’s strategic leadership will assist us to work together with the intent that all our churches and ministries become more outreach focused and emotionally healthy.

We are beginning a new season of how regional ministry operates. We are reimagining a new way of relating and working together for even greater kingdom impact. Dale will help facilitate that transition as we intend to be faithful to the vision that the Lord has given to us.
Dale is also serving on the RCA’s Restructuring Team with the task of proposing how the future of the RCA will live into a vision of “disciples making disciples who grow disciples” by building a structure to support that direction. A report will be given to the General Synod of 2024.
Dale and his wife Dawn together have four children and 12 grandchildren.
